Founded in 2007 by veteran television and film producer Mickey Liddell, LD Entertainment has produced over forty feature films. A force in the entertainment industry, LD has created award-winning theatrical dramas and documentaries, critically acclaimed stories of faith, as well as a slate of coming of age comedies, to be showcased on streaming platforms.
The company was a key player in producing and distributing such heralded films as JUDY, JACKIE, BEN IS BACK, THE ZOOKEEPER'S WIFE, RISEN, THE GREY, KILLER JOE, ALBERT NOBBS, the Academy Award® nominated BIUTIFUL and the award-winning documentary BIGGEST LITTLE FARM; while working alongside several of the industry’s most accomplished talent including Academy Award® winners Julia Roberts, Renee Zelwegger, Natalie Portman, Javier Bardem, Matthew McConaughey, Helen Hunt and Jessica Lange; and championing the work of such renowned filmmakers including Academy Award® winners William Friedkin and Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu along with Pablo Larrain, Nikki Caro, Sean Ellis, Joe Carnahan, and Glenn Ficarra and John Requa.
LD Entertainment has also had a hand in mounting a number of live theatrical productions from New York to the West End, and has been honored with four Tony Awards; notably, for the acclaimed revival of ANGELS IN AMERICA featuring Nathan Lane and Andrew Garfield, the original Broadway productions of HADESTOWN and DEAR EVAN HANSEN and the celebrated restaging of the classic musical OKLAHOMA. Other productions include NETWORK with Tony Award winner Bryan Cranston, SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE featuring Jake Gyllenhal, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, MOULIN ROUGE, AIN'T TOO PROUD, THE CHER SHOW, DEATH OF A SALESMAN at the Picadilly Theatre and the National tours of ANASTASIA and DEAR EVAN HANSEN.
